Washington consumer health data policy

Effective 27 September 2026

Who this is for

This policy is required by Washington state’s My Health My Data Act. It sits alongside our general privacy policy and says the same thing in the terms that law uses: we don’t collect your health data at all.

What counts as consumer health data here

Your journal entries, memory space content and safety plan relate to your mental health and wellbeing, so they likely count as consumer health data under this law, even though none of it ever leaves your device or reaches us.

What we collect, and why this policy can stay short

We don’t collect, receive or store your consumer health data on any server, in any circumstance, in the current version of the app. It is stored only on your own device. Because of that, most of what this law asks us to disclose about collecting, sharing and selling health data doesn’t apply, because none of those things happen.

Selling or sharing your health data

We do not sell your consumer health data, and we do not share it with anyone, because we never receive it. That stays true unless a future feature changes how the app works, and if it does, this policy will be updated first, before that feature ships.

Your rights under this law

You have the right to confirm whether we collect your consumer health data (we don’t), to withdraw consent, and to have your data deleted. Because your data lives only on your device, you can delete it immediately and completely yourself, at any time, in the app’s Settings, without sending us a request.

Geofencing

We do not use geofencing near health care facilities or anywhere else, and we don’t collect real-time location at all. Where the app shows a local crisis line, it uses your phone’s general region setting, never your location.
